is a $20 gold piece used as a prop in the 2005 movie "Sahara".

The coin is made of PLASTIC and was modeled after the 1904 U.S. (liberty head design) $20 Coronet double eagle coin.

The Borgata chip was added for scale. Not included, unless you want to add $1 to the sale.

From what I can tell, three coin variations were made for the film. The first was a "gold" Confederate States Of America (CSA) coin. Probably less than a handful of these made.

Second were coins with the same design as the one I am offering, but made of a more solid material. You can find these on for around $25 each + S&H:

The last are the plastic coins that I am offering. According to a website I found:
"The final lot consisted of an unspecified number of so-called "Background Confederate gold colored plastic coins" used for the purpose of set dressing of a cave towards the end of the film. It appeared to be several dozen pieces. Interestingly, the bogus Double Eagles do not contain the word 'copy' anywhere on them, as required by the Hobby Protection Act. When Coin World called this to the attention of the U.S. Secret Service, a spokesperson eventually told us that if we could determine that the coins were manufactured in the United States, and not overseas, they would look into the matter." IMO, I think the props were made in the UK.
