I roll my eyes every time I hear that "drilling won't help us for 10 years" argument. For crying out loud, if I started smoking today, I think I can get 10 years in before I have to worry aboung getting lung cancer!!!!! It makes sense!!!!!!!! Looney Logic.

Drilling alone IS DEFINITELY part of the solution, and I would bet we would see an impact long before the 10th anniversary of the day we started the ball rolling, because as soon as OPEC knew we were serious, they would increase production. Couple that with conservation AND alternative fuel sources, demand goes down, supply goes up, and things get a bit more reasonable.

I am all for exploring alternatives, but to say drilling won't help is patently absurd, and I question the motivations of the nitwits spinning that argument.
