the doctor told us pre-surgery that has would try to "scope" her appendix and that it shouldn't take more than 45 minutes. After two hours, he came & told my wife & I that he couldn't find it lapriscopically as it wasn't where it normally should have been, so he did have to do an incision. He said that it was wrapped up behind her intestines (anyone for some dinner??
) and that it was three to four times longer than a normal appendix. He said in his 45 years, he had never seen an appendix that was as messed up as hers was...that's my Sarah, always the over-achiever
