It is hard to tell from the scans, but the surface of these chips is continuous. There is no break between chip and inserts or chip and inlay, EXCEPT in a few small spots you can see a tiny crack where different parts didn't fuse together perfectly. They are also big, just over 40mm. When dropped they have a ring sound, not a dull thud. Very interesting chips.
