What, pray tell, are you stating that people are ignorant of? You've mentioned that several times, but you haven't said what you feel people are ignorant of. I know exactly who all of those people are and my hunch is most people on the board do too.
You know what, I don't think it matters because I don't think you have a point here. I get it. You are hard core Republican and can't stand criticism of Bush. Right or wrong, it is a common occurrence in society to compare people to the "gold standard". Every time a hot rookie enters the NBA, you hear people starting saying "he's the next Bird" or "the next Magic" or "the next Jordan".
In this case, Hitler is the "gold standard" of a power grabbing, genocidal warmonger and I'm guessing that is the tie that the picture creator was going after. (Or something similar. Only a guess--no idea where it came from. Heck, it might have been a 14 year old kid just trying to get a rise out of his right wing History teacher.)
The point is: that picture does not make someone an enemy of America. It probably makes them mad, it probably makes them suspicious of their leader, and it probably makes them someone that supports the other political party. Crap like that happens a lot. People burn flags in protest. IMHO that is MUCH worse than the Bush picture. People are calling Obama the anti-Christ. Where are you with that? Personally, that is worse than Hitler IMHO.
I'm done. I still have unpacking to do and I'd bet very few people care to watch a couple of old friends bicker over politics.
Have a good day,
Bryan
