Portraying Bush as Hitler IS anti-America Bryan. Such practices are not dissimilar from what we see from the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. Portraying Bush as Hitler trivializes who Hitler was and what he did. I fully understand such things are done from a position of extreme ignorance, but to me, that is not an excuse for it. ...especially when the ignorance is pointed out to the perpetrator, and the reaction is indignation, indifference and indications that said ignorance is by choice. Dave saw nothing wrong with what he posted, and even after reading reactions to it, he called the reactions ridiculous. He is ignorant by choice, or incapable of cogent thought processes.
There's nothing wrong about being opposed to, or unhappy with, any politician. I didn't like Clinton at all, and I still don't. Expressing dislikes and the reasons for them are civilized discourse. Hitler comparisons where none exist are not civil discourse, and they are a large part of why our country is so divided along political lines today.
