It was a story I found when researching for the CCTN article. We'd had the menu for several years, so I was happy to find its history . While I didn't find a lot of details, such as the showgirl's name, I felt that our menu and the pictures in the Stardust book were evidence that the story was true...so I used it in the Fall 2007 CCTN article.

As for the price of the book...I found ours on ebay for less than the one shown in this thread. Seems to me it was $10 plus $5-10 shipping. BUT...Kerry, you have the memories of being at the Stardust on closing day. I wish I cold say that .

The Royal Nevada became the Stardust Auditorium. I love this postcard because it's so easy to see the two properties...even though the 'dust had already annexed the RN.
