Edwin - I've always been curious about how people come into possession of $100 chips that are expired/obsolete and can sell them under face value. Did some poor fool walk out of the casino with $100 chips in his pocket only to realize it after the casino announced their retirement or did they knowingly take a current $100 chip, add it to their collection, and after its retirement its value fell well below face? Or, did the Vegas casinos back then not properly dispose of their chips and, since they could not be redeemed, they were either given away, sold at auction, or fell into the hands of liquidators or some such thing? Just wondering. Thanks.
