That was always my impression...

...but David told me they were actually used at the casino.

I had many of their samples that came from the CARO Collection; many with cruise line names that were very close in design to actual cruise lines. Also city name where there are casinos, but not the names depicted on the plaques. One that even fooled me was a SUN CRUISES (or something very similar) but we learned it was a sample when David once posted pages from their calalogue with the same plaques/denominations in many color/design combinations.

BG did the same thing years ago... and they also added "CASINO INTERNATIONAL" to plaques having names of cities all around the world.

I gave up correcting those who were posting manufacturers' samples as actual casino plaques.
