Skelly Oil was an independent oil company founded in 1919 by William Grove Skelly in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It had previously been known as Midland Refining Company. They sold propane under the name Skelgas.

You must be younger that I am... I remember Skelly Oil sponsoring CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT! on the radio in the 40's but I don't recall seeing your medal before.
