How awesome is this...?? Cropped a rppc, and got this picture....

On the far right of this photo is The Slot Machine Arcade, located at 101 Fremont. It was licensed for slots & craps from 1941-c.1951. (From 1951-1970 this was the location of the California Club; 1978-1983 was the Friendly Club).

Next door (105 Fremont) was The Arcade (aka Fremont Arcade)which operated from 1944-1952, slots only.

109 Fremont housed the White Spot Cafe from 1932-1951 (they had slots). The 49er Club was there from 1951-1952, licensed for slots, 21, craps & poker. The Fortune Club was there from 1952-1955; then it joined up with the property at 113 Fremont & became the Nevada Fortune Club 'til 1957. The Nevada Club, Fortune Club and the Western Union office were eventually combined under a new & colorful 75 foot long marquee, with the Nevada Club name.

The Frontier Club was at 117 Fremont from 1935-1953; then it was the Lucky Strike Club from 1954-1963; from 1963-1967 it was the Lucky Casino.

grin Hope I got all that right! Now the whole block is covered by the Golden Nugget. Anyway...here's the picture:
