I do it very simply. I charge $3 to $5 shipping, sometimes more a a more valuable chip. I don't offer insurance. I add delivery confirmation.

If the package is not delivered, I refund or replace the item. If, according to the USPS website, the package was delivered. I will not refund or replace.

I just sent out 5 or 6 packages totaling $1600 to $1800 (I'm at work, I don't have exact numbers). I pack well (no bouncing around of chips --- bubble wrap plus padded envelop). I don't believe I have ever had a package get lost. I'm a gambler at heart anyway.

Insurance on a light package makes it a target for theft, IMHO. I also don't believe that if I put $1000 insurance on a chip that the PO would pay off anyway.
