One of my favorite memories of the Apache/Horseshoe Club was when we happened to be on fremont street a few years back during just the day or so it took them to remove the Binions Horseshoe logo marquee from the east corner, and replace it with the new Binions oval logo marquee, and the whole corner of the old hotel was exposed and visible for about 15-20 feet on each direction from the corner.

It was like I was given a trip back in time! The whole building is still there, and looks just as it did in the old postcards.... just in hiding, under the now familiar blue false front. Wish they could have used the same method to only cover the Sands, Dunes, Landmark Etc.
