Just look up "Stratocaster" on eBay and you can probably count well over a hundred guitars that aren't made by Fender using the "Stratocaster" name.
I think that you have covered your tracks fine. You have stated that you made the chip, it is a reproduction....AND the hotstamp allows collectors to know that the chip is not legit.
