wanted Info on Costa Rican chip wanted

I just got a chip from a casino called Corobici, in San Jose, Costa Rica. Here is the chip (both sides):

Really nice looking chip. I was wondering what the local currency of Costa Rica is and what the rough conversion of c 500 would be. Anybody know?
