The best place for selling is generally the opposite of the best place for buying. I have had great success selling and buying right here on this Board, though. It's better than eBay, since there are no fees. You have a sophisticated group that understands values (which can backfire if they know a chip is not valuable but bidders on eBay might not be so savvy). I suspect the best way to sell on this Board is to name your price, rather than running your own informal auction. Buyers here tend to prefer set prices and naturally are always seeking bargains first. When I have invited offers, I tended to get a lot of offers for face value or less, which can be disheartening.

This Board is best for selling $1 and $5 chips that don't have a lot of value, as you can sell for a dollar or two over face and not incur the types of seller fees that make small sales impractical on-line.

EBay's completed results are a good way to measure prices. As a seller, you hate to sell a chip for $5 that could have fetched $25 elsewhere. But you certainly don't want to pay a listing fee to offer a chip for $25 that really is worth only $5.
