Over the past six months, I have returned well over $2,000 in Hard Rock chips, from myself as well as for others. I know several people have done the same thing, some substantially more. When I played craps at the Hard Rock during the Super Bowl show, I was amazed by how many "several-year-older" chips were in play in almost uncirculated condition.

As far as the rare stuff goes, you are probably correct in noting that they are locked-up in private collections. I still have a few of the harder-to-find ones, but only because I would sell them at a big loss if I were to sell them right now.

Their chips don't carry the interest that they once did...heck, I have a HUGE Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas pin collection & am not even going after those (except for the older ones to fill my collection "gaps") as the most recent ones look like garbage.
