EBay prohibits sellers from requesting or suggesting cash, except for in-person deliveries. Some sellers think this means they must reject cash if a buyer offers it. In addition, like so many people who post on this Board, the seller might need cash in his account right away.

When a buyer asks me to do something against the eBay rules (like sell after a listing has ended), I also often wonder if it is a trap.
