signed up about ten new members at the convention...several did not list / provide an e-mail address. Since their info was provided less than a month ago, I would consider that up-to-date
!! There are just some people that don't want to give out their e-mail address. And since the Membership Officer is to maintain the Membership Roster, any changes would (and DO) come to me...but not everyone updates their info or provides "complete" info. Do I believe that sending out notices, announcements and/or mailings via e-mail would be easier & faster...you betcha!! But with SPAM filters and such, I'm not so certain that e-mails would arrive at their intended location. That leaves the only real method of making certain that club members are informed / notified, is via "snail mail".
