Howdy also has done a book geared toward newbies. He conducted the First timers class at the convention, and it was very good, I learn something new every year. He gave everybody there a cpy of his new book. Most of the info is available elsewhere, but it is packaged together very nicely, and it is geared for the new collector, but has info that wily vets can use in a form that makes it a god resource book.
