The Southland Hotel, Dallas, TX was the headquarters of Benny Binion's 'Dallas Mafia'
Plenty of history on the internet on Binion's gang wars with Herbert 'the cat' Noble and Benny's 3 attempts to have him killed.

Along with Ivy Miller and Red Scarborough, Binion controlled his local illegal gaming from the hotel.
