A major new feature will soon be added to the Caribbean ChipGuide, VALUES. Just about the first question I'll get asked about an item (chip or whatever) on the Caribbean ChipGuide is: "What is it worth?" I did not want to be in the business of assigning values. So I came up with an idea that will provide values and more for collectors. Collectors will be able to enter value information themselves about the items. In the information box for each item there will be a link called "VALUE". When you click on the link, you will be then see a screen with value information provided by collectors for that item. The values can be: For Trade, Want List, report of a Sale or Auction, or just an item in your Collection. From the value page there will have a link to add a new value. Over time enough value information should be reported to give collectors a pretty good range of information of the value of an item. When I add a customized query function, you will then be able to:

o Display and print out your collection
o Display and print out your want list
o Display and print out your traders

There will also be an option to keep values PRIVATE so that only you can see them. I hope that this new function will foster collector trading because you will be able to see who has an item for trade and who wants the item. At this time, I am not accepting FOR SALE items, in order to keep the website non-commercial according to CCGTCC standards. So far I have the basics worked out but there are still some improvements that are needed before it goes live. But, it could go live over the long weekend ahead of us.
