I am reminded of the time that Brenda and I flew out to Las Vegas from Newark, NJ on American Airlines several years ago, with a scheduled change of planes in Chicago O'Hare on Sunday. I'll skip the details to a long story in that we were bumped three times (voluntarily) in Chicago and were each given $300 travel vouchers for our seats for each bump ... was put up in a hotel overnight with a $50 meal voucher and two personal hygiene kits, and given first class seats on the first flight out of Chicago O'hare on Monday morning ... End result was that we had $1800 in future travel vouchers before the plane landed in Vegas for our inconvenience.
