- Mike was informed before the vounteer reception - OK, poor timing for Mike but terrible timing for any word getting out because this is at the convention with many chippers about. Did you not think the word would get out?
- Wayne's comment of "I did not want to relieve him through an e-mail" - Wayne you are right, that is not the proper way to do it. It bothers me that you would have even thought of that in the first place. A simple call or a face-to-face meeting after the convention from a member of the Board would have been the right thing to do.
- The desire to keep it private - Did you realize what a club is? It is not a private function. Yes, the decision and the conversation you had with Mike can and should be private, but not letting the members know of an IMPORTANT decision that affects them is totally wrong. If I was a conspiracy theorist I would rank this right up there with Roswell and Area 51.
I commend everyone who volunteers for the organization. I've been there with other groups and have the scars to prove it. But in this case I think common curtesy, considering the thoughts of the members, and maybe a little common sense would have prevented much of this.
