Well, you probably should have asked me first. I am 300,000 miles short of Gold for Life with American and I am not sure its worth it. Its probably in the bottom 5 airlines that I have ever flown. I have a long story about my Columbia trip that has the punchline where I thought an 8 hr delay arriving in Columbia could not be beaten, until they tried to fly me home.
