Tarl and I hit the Landing at 5:20am. Took a bit of looking around to find the spot but once Tarl stubled across a couple of tokens we knew that we were onto something. Picked up some nice chunks,a crapload of tokens and about 20 chips. Someone came along at around 7:15 and asked us to leave.Said he we were on private property. He was nice about it and...to be honest...it was getting pretty damn hot out there even at that time,so we really did not mind leaving. IT WAS A BLAST!! I cannot post scans until I get home on the weekend but Tarl took some shots and I am sure that you will see our haul.
I would recommend going at 5:00 and leaving by 7:00 or go at night a couple of hours before dark if you can take the heat.
I know that if I was living here that I would be keeping an eye on that property and,when they start construction of whatever they are going to put there,I would be following those dump trucks to see where the topsoil will be dumped cause there are going to be some cool chunks coming out of there and they will make great paperweights for the chipper.Thanks to the guys who told us about the site. It is greatly appreciated.
