I have held off making any post about what my future holds for chip collecting, as my finical outlook is not looking good and down right scary. With United almost looking to file maybe bankruptcy again, along with maybe 5 other airlines this year and GM (my partner is disabled and retired from there)is on the watch for bankruptcy too and the government who has my pension now will give me my final estimate of my real pension in 2011,yes it takes them 6 years to determine this and will have to also pay them back what has been over paid since then. I'm 59 and have to wait until I'm 66 to collect SS, if its still there, God wiling. Since everything is so under funded by this wonderful government of ours it makes you wonder where we are all headed. I need to start saving as much as I can and the first to go will be my $1 chip collection. I have not decided what and when, but it will be soon. My horse collection will never go. I will be 6 feet under and someone else will have to sell it. I will still stay a member, but again like I said I dont know what I will sell and keep just yet.

If United goes under then I have to pay probably a much higher health insurance. Yes this is all that could happen and not sure what will happen, but I'm not going to sit back and say its not and do nothing. Sadly I have lost interest in the collecting period. This has been a hard thing to say but it is true. I cant afford it and its that simple. Casinos no longer interest me, as we can not afford to go to any. Our health comes first then my dog and then the house.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great time at the convention and in Las Vegas.
