Alan I use this method too..

I find the color copiers at Kinkos are DEAD ON for color. My scanner isn't quite dialed in and leaves me with white chips that are actually orange in color. I am amazed at how close the Kinkos copies are, almost scary...

Your method works great for those chips that have multiple color listings such as the Horseshoe LV, Drk. Brown and Lt. Brown 50ยข chips. I never know which I have so I bring those copies with and hold them up to the chips on the bourse floor and I know immediately which ones I am looking at.
