For example:
"Registrants who spend at least two nights at the Riviera will be refunded $10.00 in club scrip per room." (from the pre-reg form)
Originally this said "Attendees who spend...." I was quickly told to change it.
To many people, because it was printed on the form, "Registrants" is going to mean 'Pre-registrants'.
Similarly:
"Banquet, Poker & BJ Tourny's are optional but pre-registration is ALWAYS REQUIRED."
Now I was unaware, but it was brought to my attention yesterday, that we have always allowed ALL club members (subject to space) to play in both the BJ and Poker tourny's. They dont have to even attend the convention, let alone have pre-registered or registered for it. The Tournament director works from a list of current members, not registrants. Im not sure if it was clear enough before but it is now
It was stated on the club bb some time ago by the powers that be, that this year, EVERY 'event' listed on the convention schedule will require credentials. Obviously that is not quite right. Similarly, as you know, with the auction, which by law is 'public'. Hence Jo Blo can walk in off the street and watch our auction. He can't participate but he can watch.
