for sale new find of Desert Spa, Las Vegas

Hi,

here is the whole and true story of some great chips I got some weeks ago. I never thought that this would ever happen to me,
but I was able to get some of these pretty rare
chips from the Desert Spa, Las Vegas. The $5 is TCR #N1501 and the $25 is TCR #N1499.

I think there are not many collectors who have these chips in their collections. Especially the $25 is (or was) very rare.
I have 51 chips of the $25, and 117 chips of the $5. And I know of 3 more sets (one $5 and one $25) held by other collectors in Europe.

I got the chips from a guy who does not collect chips. He had the chips for over 20 years, and could not remember how he got them.
The chips were sent to me in a box from Lang's , Langworthy & Co, Detroit, Mich, USA. Robert Eisenstadt also wrote at his Mold Design Site,
that the Rectangles mold belongs to that company.

I tried to find some information about the Desert Spa, but could not find much at all. The casino was opened from 1947 to 1948 and from 1958 to 1959. It was located somewhere between the Wynn and the Riviera at the Strip.
These chips are from the 1st issue, used from 1947 to 1948.

All of the chips are in a good condition! Most of them are Slightly Used (SU). Some of the chips have some nicks at the edge, and their
condition is something between SU and Average (A)

Here is the deal:
I know that I could make a lot of $$$ if I put only one of each chip on auction at eBay, without telling how much I have.
But I do not want to fool other collectors. That's why I told you the whole story and how many chips I have.
I will offer the chips for sale here at the chipboard. I always like to trade for chips, but will not do any trades for these chips.
(If you want to trade, please go to my tradelist at www.casino-chips.de)
These chips are for sale only!!

The price for one $5 Desert Spa chip is $45.00
The price for one $25 Desert Spa chip is $150.00

I will never reduce the price, and I will never give any discounts. I think that these prices are pretty fair.

Shipping fees from Germany to USA (or elsewhere in the world) are $4.00. I will send the chips in a bubbled envelope.
If you prefer a registered shipping you have to pay $7.50
But the shipping is NOT insured.

You can believe me that I will never reduce the price of the chips (unless there would be another big find).
If I could not sell all the chips here at the Chipboard, I will keep the rest and offer them again later.
Maybe I will sell some at eBay, but the starting prices would be the same ($45 and $150).

If you would like to buy any of the chips, please send me a mail. I will send you a large scan of the $25 chip you will receive.
I will scan exactly the chip you will get and reserve it for you. After telling me you will buy the chip from the scan, I will send you an
invoice through Paypal.
I will NOT send any scans for the $5 chip, but will also send you an invoice through Paypal.
Please do NOT send me any money in advance!

Of course you do not have to pay through Paypal. If you do not use it, you can also send cash.

As I said before, all chips are in a good condition. All are good, but some are better than others.
I will sell the best chips first! Contact me as soon as possible and you will get the best chip still available.

I hope I have explained everything clear enough for you to understand. It is not so easy for me in english.
Please send me a mail if you have any questions.
