New York, NY Big Chips Missing

I stayed at New York, NY in Las Vegas this week for the first time. Nice rooms, except some of the corner suites have green glass in the windows. It's always green in the room, night and day unless you close the 7 sets of drapes. Makes me feel like Kramer did on Seinfeld when the neon chicken sign was installed.... except his bedroom was red [g].

I noticed the high limit table games had no $1000 chips, although they did have grey [?] $5000. I asked at the cage and they said there was some problem with security and they were trying to withdraw them from play. She didn't say so, but my guess is either some counterfeits have shown up or someone is trying to cash a bunch that they didn't win.

There is major construction in the middle of the casino, including jackhammers breaking up the floor. Usually starts about midnight. I'd suggest you wait a couple of weeks if you want to play there late at night. They don't seem to make silencers for jackhammers. Lots of the facilities in the casino are supposed to be moved around after the work is complete, including the cage moving to the center of the floor.

I have extras of the two different room key cards being used there. I'll post a picture of them after a bit.
