Re: How about a ChipWiki?
In Response To: How about a ChipWiki? ()

I believe everybody's ideas are good, what I believe is not good, is not having reasonably current printed resources for the CHIPS that I guess a majority of the club collects, if not solely, than certainly a significant portion of many collections! I have no remedy for our problem, it just needs to be addressed. It is not a profitable venture for the authors, there aren't enough of us to buy a LOT of books but there are enough of us for which the lack of current books is a LARGE problem.

There was talk several years ago about going online, there has been talk of asking the authors for the rights to their books as a lease and than from there...

I just can't imagine stamp collectors not having a current reference source, I can't imagine coin colleetors not having a current reference source and I DISLIKE that we dont have one!

I actually believe that the lack of current reference material disuades some from becoming active in this hobby because they cannot understand, if the hobby is so great, why doesn't it have current reference material! IMHO!
