The way too tell if it's real is it will have one small injection-mold dimple on its edge.
Very small dimple left over from the spot the plastic material was injected into the mold.
Size of the dimple is about the size as the head of a pin.
Maybe just a little smaller.
All the old Brass-cores had them.
