I was in L.A. over the weekend with not much to do between business meetings last week and this coming week. So I took the hour and a half drive over to the San Manual Indian Casino in San Bernadino. My observations:

1) Parking sucks. Construction is underway to expand their tiered parking garage, but until it is completed parking sucks. Signs don't tell you where to go and the personnel are clueless.

2) There is a new $1 chip out on the tables. It is a H&C chip. It is out there in limited numbers along side the Bud Jones chips.

3) They have craps without dice. How is it that possible? I guess the State of California outlaws dice games. So the clever folks at San Manual took several decks of cards and only put the Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6's in the shoe. The other cards, seven through king, are not used. The pit boss pulls two cards out of the shoe to simulate a roll of the dice. Otherwise the game is the same as played with dice. Nice going to the State of California. I think this one tops their Department of Redundancy Department.

4) The casino is large, by California Indian Casino standards. But it is crowded and I ran into a log of annoying people there.
