Several days ago I was having a discussion with a new collector on ChipTalk (a roughly 5000 + strong, on-line community of poker enthusiasts, some of whom also collect) and we got around to the . I offered to send some Club literature, in trade for his snail mail address. He sent me his address that day and I was quite surprised to be contacted separately by two other individuals from ChipTalk asking if I could also send some information to them as well.

Around the house I found that I had a Convention '08 Flyer, newly printed Membership Applications, last year's Convention Program, a 1st issue of the Buyer's Guide and my old "OLCD/OTY" business card. I packaged them up, sent them off and started thinking about what better items might I get to place into future "requests for Club information" packets.

Well, aside from Club specific items, I thought that it might be beneficial for prospective members to see that we have a well rounded community of collectors, dealers, historians and investors, as evidenced by things I could stuff the packages with. Therefore, I am requesting Club members to consider sending me printed materials that I can use to stuff future requests with. What kind of things am I looking for?

Well right now it's pretty open, but I'm thinking that dealers (including New Issue Service providers) may want to send pre-printed ads. Collectors may want to send trade lists. Promoters may want to send show flyers. Dealers and collectors alike that sell chips or other memorabilia can send printed For Sale materials. The list goes on and is fairly endless.

However, it must be printed. Please do not ask me to print from a computer file, or staple and collate your material. If I run low, I will let you know so that you can send me more. Lastly, everything sent MUST have your Membership number on it. If you are using the Club's logo, it MUST be used as approved by the Club's Secertary.

Please be aware, I will have no bias as to what is used to stuff these packages. It is my intent to put one of everything I have in a package and will only not put something in only because I ran out.
