Re: Tracy, where did most of Gil's work go to?

Hello Ron, Nice to hear from you. Between the mid 30's and 1972 Gil Elvgren produced over 500 paintings. Almost all of them oil on canvas. Several paintings belong to Charles Martignette. He and Louis Meisel made a book called "Gil Elvgren". Charles passed away just recently and now they are struggling with what to do with the paintings. There are several other folks that have his paintings. Friends, family, Brown and Bigelow. And then I am sure there are private owners also. Hope that helps.
