Maybe over time I have become over sensitive. When I first came to this board, there were a host of folks who I really enjoyed who have left the board, many because they had become frustrated with some of the types of comments made here. I am disturbed at how frequently discussions on relevant issues become bogged down with personal attacks, and the frequency of which those isolated attacks become group attacks on persons who minority views or are new to the board and were simply asking a question. I used to keep the emails from persons I had begun corresponding with, who would write me that they were not coming back to the board (and even worse, in many cases were not going to join the club as a result).

Your suggestion was dead on, and it was unfortunate that in 90 views nobody else had madethe suggestion(or any other), but commenting on the fact that they hadn't (for me) took a positive act on your part, and added to the undercurrent of negative comments that occur on the board.

Interestingly, the word 'snide' which I have previously backed off of too harsh, was the catalyst of the remaining discussion. The issue of interest was the negativity (yours? & mine?). There was no discussion, or interest apparently, in how we as an organization, or individuals, could help Capt Banjo. How we could prevent this from happening in the future.

When I express concerns about negativity, one or more of the most negative in my opinion (and yes Tim, I certainly recognize that is is only my opinion) responded to this thread. If I was overly sensitive to your comment, or simply read it in an unintended context, I owe you an apology, and offer it now. My best wishes to you.
