I'm stuck a few hundred- I feel sorry for the guys that paid 3 large for the $100.
As an aside - recall the $25 Horseshoe Arrowdie that used to be a "Z" chip - after a find, you are lucky to get $30 on a good day. I avoid all Horseshoe stuff now as the last owners were not known for their honesty. BEWARE the SHOE!
And they are opening an investigation - great. Good luck on that. In other news, the FBI is still trying to solve the DB Cooper skyjacking nearly 40 years later. Remember, this is the same bunch that took 18 years to hunt down the Unabomber, who was living in a shack, riding a bike and looked nothing like their sketch - google it for a good laugh. And then there was (or wasn't) John Doe #2 who was (or not) involved in the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma. Funny how no one ever mentioned JD#2 shortly after they decided they were never gonna find him. Oh and the antrax case was never solved; they even went so far as to guess the stuff was made underwater and drained an entire pond; it took how long to capture Eric Robert Rudolph and they tried to pin the Olympic bombing on the late Richard Jewel. Regular Sherlock Holmes'. And then there is the story of the FBI agent in Baltimore who had (with several other agents) cornered a wanted felon in a basement. The felon shot himself and the FBI agent got so excited at the sound of gun fire - he tried to draw his weapon and shot himself in the foot. They made it out to be a gun battle where they killed the guy and the agent was wounded in the firefight, but the real story was the guy pulled a Barney Fife.
Yeah - a full investigation is the way to go here for sure and we may as well start with that police chief that grabbed a few. I know I'll sleep better knowing US law enforcement is hot on their trail and I'm sure they'll be brought to justice, or not.
