for sale Some Tucson area poker NCVs... for sale

In the following posts I will be offering these Desert Diamond Casino and Casino of the Sun/Casino del Sol poker tourney NCVs. However, before breaking them up into sets, I wanted to make the entire lots available at one price for all 20 chips. That single price (I pay postage in the US) is: $125

The per-set prices will collectively be higher. So if you are interested, I suggest striking now before I decide to break these up into sets.

This first scan shows 13 chips in 3 sets. The first 6 were originally used at the Casino of the Sun poker room. At about the time that the Pascua Yaqui Tribe built the newer casino property (Casino del Sol) they had two poker room operations and ordered Unicorn molded, hot-stamped poker tourney chips for the poker rooms and stopped using the older, Bud Jones chips. The "Casino of the Sun" chips were made in 3 colors (the orange is missing here), which proved difficult to support poker tournaments, but very few tournaments were conducted at the "Sun" and the poker room was closed in favor of the poker room at the "Sol" facility, a scant 2 miles away. The 3 "Sun" NCVs were moved to the "Sol" poker room and the blue and grey (shown) were inter-mixed with the "Sol" Unicorns. It is noted also that both of the black and purple Unicorn and Bud Jones chips are mixed together for tournament play.

Shown below are two sets (partials) from the Desert Diamond Casino. The top set was the original poker tournament set used at the Old Nogales Highway facility owned and operated by the Tohono Oodham Nation. Missing is the creme colored chip. When the newer facility was built 10 miles South (I-19 facility) the poker room was moved, along with these tournament chips. However, the players failed to go that 10 additional miles and the poker room was moved back to the Old Nogales facility, into a modular building (trailer). After a couple of years the tournament chips were replaced by the set at the bottom of the scan. This set offered is missing the $500 and $1000 chips. The scan shows both sides of the $25 and $100 chips and this offer only includes one of each of those two denominations.

Again, this entire lot of 20 NCVs from the two casino operations in Tucson, AZ are offered at $125 and I will pay shipping in the US. At my discretion (i.e., no offer) I will break-down this one lot into 5 separate lots, and the collective pricing of those 5 lots will be greater than this one lot of 20 chips.

Thanks for looking and if you have any questions about these chips or the casino operations here in Tucson, please feel free to ask via email or posted here.

Jim
