Rick, this is not a slight against you or any other Canadian but the following has been my experience.

The eBay transactions that I have done with folks that live north of the border have been a royal pain UNLESS the payment was via PayPal It has typically taken at least one week from the time I deposit a Canadian money order until the money shows up in my account. For what ever reason my bank has to send them off somewhere to get them cashed hence the delay. PayPal is no problem though.
