I had written this long response and somehow my computer fingers lost it and I really can't reconstruct it! The more I know about the hobby and the history and the process the more my wife and I go searching!

I spoke to a very nice collector, a young lady who collects and has not joined the club. She goes it alone!

She said the acerbic and vindictive THREADS that appear from time to time keep her away! It's eveyrbody's right to say what they want to but they DO drive people away!

Another point, one of the more respected collectors I know beleives that 10% of the collectors join clubs, everybody else goes it alone! MHO!
