Re: Though I won't use the term "fading" - I will

I've collected a lot of different things over the years, and have always lost interest for one reason or another: ran out of display room, completed the collection, knew I'd never complete the collection, all items started to look alike, etc. etc. etc.

I've been in the club for over 10 years, and I love the hobby as much as ever grin ! It's an interest that my husband and I share, and we have a lot of fun searching for the stuff and learning about it. We have a huge variety of items in our collection...chips, matches, ashtrays, china, swizzle sticks, napkins, key chains, dice, decanters, glasses, postcards, fun books, glassware, brochures, magazines, etc. etc. etc. vbg With all the stuff we collect, it's not too hard to find something affordable to add to the collection! rofl

But...some of the best things about the hobby aren't the objects that we collect. It's the stories and the history behind the objects, it's the people...both fellow collectors and the people that made Nevada what it was back in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's and even into the 1980's. The objects that we collect are, to me, a little window into the past. grin

Rick, hopefully you'll find a way to re-kindle the love and excitement that you once had, for the hobby....because it's STILL a great hobby!
