I'd suggest you forget the low end scanners and go for one of the Epson Perfection line. What you should look for is the scanning electronics. "Color Epson MatrixCCD™ line sensor" will give the best colors and resolution. If the colors are not close to the colors in the original, there's not much you can do with adjustments.
