Re: ATA Airlines Has Been Shut Down
If they treated all of their customers like they treated me the one time I flew them, it is no wonder. I decided to give them a shot at my business flying out of Denver a few years ago. Two days before my outbound flights, I needed to change the outbound date one day forward. They wouldn't let me change just the outbound flights. I had to rebook the entire itinerary and pay for all of it again on the short-notice fares. So, my $320 pre-paid original round trip plane ticket ceased to exist, and I had to pay $650 for the revised itinerary. I paid for the return tickets twice, even though nothing changed on that part of the itinerary - even had the same seats. I emailed their Corporate VP of customer service, and received a form letter response telling me that was standard practice, and there was nothing he could do. I responded telling him his airline lost a customer that flies at least 25 times a year. If a company is going to screw their customers as standard practice, they deserve to fail.
