My 1934 Burgees book lists the "G" burgee owner as Frank J. Gould (son of the most infamous robber barron, Jay Gould)
My 1949 Burgees book lists the "G" burgee owner as Frank J. Gould & his nephew, Frank Miller Gould (grandson of Jay Gould)
I believe that the chip is a Burt chip, so Frank J and Frank M is probably correct. Since Frank J. was 72 in 1949 and Frank Miller was a spry 54, I'm guessing that the chip was Frank Miller's. Just a guest
The Gould had several abodes. If I had to guess, I'd say New York City.
I haven't the foggiest idea what the fancy A stands for (maybe the name of the yacht??)
Any help on owner, dates, location or the fancy "A" would sure be appreciated.
