I'm so glad that I got a glimpse of it, back in the 1980's, before it got so...so...how in the heck do you describe what happened to it?? Over the top? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy over the top!!??

I still love downtown, but the strip has gotten so big, and so busy, and so overgrown, and so expensive....I guess the strip has lost just about everything that I loved about the town.

Of course, people used to have to go to Vegas to gamble, and there's gambling all over the country now. I wish there wasn't! It used to be so much fun to go to Vegas once or twice a year and gamble and shop and eat and just have fun...didn't worry about the money you were losing & spending, because everything else was cheap. It was fun to gamble all day long, if you wanted to, because Vegas and AC were the only places there was gambling.

Sighhhhh...things will always change, and some changes are for the better. Still, I hope the Riv, Sahara and Tropicana manage to hang on. Implode those three, and I won't be able to figure out where I am, on the Strip...
