Occasionally someone comes on the board and views it as an opportunity to scam some really decent folks. Others come on here just to be jacka$$e$. Why they feel the need to antagonize others who are enjoying a perfectly pleasant pastime, I will never understand.
I have noticed occasional posts by this sotto fella, don't know him, don't want to. Doug laid out a very fact based explanation of why the regulars here reacted so badly to his attempts to sell his plaques. Sotto could have taken the high road (didn't expect him to), but instead he made some evil attacks on my friend. I think that using someone's name is as bad a behavior as can be performed on this board. I expressed the same viewwhen my friend Mike Pasternack was the victim, and when (during the last club elections) Joe Pavlik was the victim.
Sotto what kind of piece of sh*t a$$hole are you? You want to sell the item, but you attack the very market you want to buy your product.
Let me tell you about the kind of folks who are here on this board...
Doug Smith and I became friends at splashbar, and we have made trades and sought each other out every year since. He sincerely cares about the club and the hobby, and even though it takes time away from his family, he does thetoughjob of club treasurer. But as busy as he was last year, when I got hurt, he was there. He made sure my stuff was safe, was at the elevator when they checked it out, and was one of the first to check upon me. Doug and I argue all the time, but neither of us needs to resort to silly childish cr@p.
Mike Pasternack is also my friend. He to cares about the club, and he to has taken on a major responsibility, yet when I was in the hospital, he visited, and suffice it to say he went where no man would want to go, and he did so out of friendship.
Von McKenzie stayed with me from within the elevator all the way to the hospital. Geri Hempel came to the hospital, and when I was unable to do my own fighting, began knocking heads together on my behalf. Archie Black's wife assisted meby passing on messages to folks (when I called all medicated). I argue with Archie all the time. My buddy Claude Argo continuedmy search for my #1 chip (found it and gave it to me).

I can't begin to tell you how my wonderful friends on this board and across the hobby(Brian Cashman, Tyrus Mulkey, Ron May, Julie Brown, the Lynches, Shoop, Ron Lammer, Sheldon and Christine Smith, Riverboat Rick, each of the three running for BOD, and Greg, along with dozens more who give me the strength to do my physical therapy and not give up, and help keep my motivation for the next convention, just to see them.
You badmouthed us because we are too poor or too cheap to spend what you think the plaques are worth. There are so many here who donate their time and energy and a lot of cash for a diverse array of causes. Not one person in this club has treated me one iota different while I have been going through my tough streak, to the contrary, I receive lots of emails encouraging me. There are things that friends (like Fred Hempel) have done for me, that someone likeyou can't begin to understand.
We stand together when our friends are attacked. We are as diverse a group as you will find, and I love each and every one of them. You called my friend Doug a nazi (or tried to make him sound like one), how pathetic. My friends try to help me be the best person I can be, yours tried to help you perpetrate a fraud, and did it badly.
I have one arm that is worth a nickle at the moment (legs and left arm are worthless), but you have pi$$edme off to such an extent, I'd be happy to take you alongonmy next trip down an elevator shaft. One last thing, how stupid do you need to be to leave your crooked ebay sale listed on your post when pretending to be someone else.
