Just Showing Off Some Chips... vbg

Good day to be this chipper. The cable guy (no, not that one) came and fixed the video. Now I can watch the first F1 race of the year tonight without all those jumbo sized Lego looking pixels jumping everywhere. Fellow even showed up on time so's I could do some rat-killin' for a few hours at work after he left. I was sitting here looking at about 50-80 chips that needed to be put in binders. A couple of coin cups full. Well yeah, they're all the chips I got at that last Riviera thingie and uh, six months of eBay wins. Figured I might put 'em all in the books tonight because them Euro guys always stack up their little cars in the first turn and the spend 100 minutes following each other around. Get the wreck out of the way then sort my chips. Catch the end of the race when Senna t-bones Proust into the weeds for the win and then I'd be done!

Oh, wait! I got more chips I haven't even really checked out! Here's the little guys I got up at the PNW session last Sunday. I really like these a lot. grin Cool, now I can scan and write up chipfiles on this group. Reno: two greenies and an orange one too. Not so fast. Some good stories with this trio. Last issue Nevada Club. Did you know there was already a Nevada Club on Virginia St. when Lincoln Fitzgerald arrived in Reno? Way I heard it, Fitz and a couple of friends had a sit-down with the father/son owner of the joint and walked out partners. It would pretty cool to have the minutes of that meeting. Alongside Fitz was Mert Wertheimer. Mert was Fitz's boss in the Chesterfield syndicate. Actually Mert was everybody's boss in the Chesterfield dot-org. Another homeboy, Jack Sullivan was there for backup. Next Wertheimer moved into the casino ownership at the Riverside. He'd sold when the orange lgcrn appeared but he was concession owner of the bar business there. Out the back alley door of Nevada Club was the Golden Bank Club. The listed brothers of the green Golden Bank show 1952 heritage. Here is the good side of this poor dear. It was hard being a chip in Reno sometimes. They got burned and buried and stolen and hidden and whatnot. Wish this one could talk.

Met a couple of new chippers at the PNW meet and traded for these WA. chips. "Welcome To Paradise" Gotta love that! Lucky Dog is an Indian casino. The Cozy Roadhouse is a sticker job on a home poker chip it looks like. The Cozy is probably a good place to unwind after a day handling nuclear weapons on Whidbey Island. Bye.
