Finally i'm back in Italy after my US trip.
I've been in Vegas for first time, it's a very fun place.
Talking about Casinos i've discovered many games i didn't knew before. I've played some good 3 card poker sessions (a straight flush and a three-of-a-kind made my journey, or at least let me end without losing too much

), I've played some Texas Hold'em, In Italy it's possible to play it only in tournament mode and only in a private club, there are no live tables. I dont know PaiGow, i've seen many tables, but it seems a bit confusing, and i didn't want to play a difficult game without knowing well all the rules and strategy. It was an explorative trip, so i wasn't paying much attention on my gemeplay, i was only trying to live the Vegas feeling, i was thinking to give away about $1000 for casino play, and i ended with a loss of $600 so it's a success. I must admit every time i go in some European Casino i always end with a gain, but it's more like a job instead of a fun night, and i usually play only BJ and roulette (BTW the only place i've found in Vegas with a European Roulette, with only a "0" and not the "00" is the Stratosphere). I was at the Harrah's Hotel, i'm not really disappointed, but the room was not as good as i expected and the service was bad. First night they had to give me a suite because my room booked and confirmed in advance was not ready... And the next morning they changed my king bed single with a double with a nice view of the wonderful parking... Rooms are not so good, you can hear everything from next rooms, and this is not good when you have a bunch of people talking and laughing at every hour. Other worst thing in Harrah's is the $12/day fee for a slow and troubling wireless internet access.
Being at the beginning of my Chip collection i've done a good hunt on chips. I got the "basics", almost every $1 and $5 house chip from all the Strip casinos, and some nice ltd. I was scared about what i could say to italian customs officiers if they asked me to open my baggage to reveal how many chips i had, but i passed without controls. Total harvest is close to 200 chips (i got some duplicate too, i made a plan, to give my friends one chip each as a souvenir, in this way maybe at least one will end to be a collector too).
I wish to thank all the board people for the very useful hints i received, and i hope to have a chance to come back soon, maybe next time i'll be able to meet some of you.
Mauro.
