I just sent Ebay a long email telling them what I think of their new "bidder protection" policy. HA! bidder protection? Oh my God, I am so thankful for this, I have been so vulnerable in the past and never even knew it, I am just glad ebay is out there watching out for me, what would we do without them??? Do they really think we are that stupid to think that we believe they are doing this for OUR benefit? As a seller on ebay I think it is going to lower my sales, because I think people will hesitate to bid for fear of shill bidding. As a buyer, I want to know who I am bidding against, and think I have the right to know. There are allot of times knowing who your bidding against will determine the amount you will bid. And many cases that if a friend is bidding on a item, and they have beat me to it, I may not bid at all out of respect to them. It all comes down to ebay is just getting too big for their own good. Why cant they take things like this and put it up for a vote, say for a two or 3 week period and let the ebay consumers be the judge of what "is best" for the common good. I am just getting really fed up with them lately, I just cant think of the last thing they have implemented that has really been for the good and welfare of the consumers. Ok, I have vented enough, and will get down off the soap box. Hopefully everyone else who has a problem with this new policy will tell ebay how they feel.
